
Senators Recall Goaltender Mike Brodeur from Binghamton

OTTAWA, ONTARIO - The Ottawa Senators today recalled goaltender Mike Brodeur on an emergency basis from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators .
Brodeur, 27, has appeared in one game this season with Binghamton, earning the victory in a 5-1 defeat of Adirondack on Oct. 8, and three games with the Senators' ECHL affiliate, the Elmira Jackals, where he has posted a record of 2-1-0. He turned aside 30 shots in a 5-0 shutout victory over Toledo in his most recent game last night.
The Calgary native made his National Hockey League debut one year ago today - Dec. 19, 2009 - stopping 22 of 23 shots to earn his first career victory in Ottawa's 4-1 home win over the Minnesota Wild. The 6-2, 185-pound netminder has played in three NHL games, recording three wins, a .966 save-percentage and a 1.00 goals-against average with one shutout.
Brodeur is being recalled to replace Pascal Leclaire, who re-aggravated a lower body injury during the warmup prior to Ottawa's game in Colorado on Dec. 17.
