Salt Lake Bees News Release

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake Bees took a tough 9-5 loss at the hands of the Nashville Sounds Sunday night at Smith's Ballpark.

The Sounds overcame the efforts of the Bees' Michael Hermosillo, who had two two-run home runs in the game. With the Bees leading 5-3 in the seventh, the Sounds took the lead on a disastrous play for the Bees that cleared the bags with bases loaded. On the fateful sequence, a two-run single turned into a four-run swing for the Sounds when a Bees throwing error gave the Nashville the opportunity to bring everyone home. Nashville tacked on two more in the ninth to keep the Bees at bay.

Dylan Unsworth took the hill to start the game for the Bees. He went for the longest outing of a Salt Lake starter this season, going six and two thirds innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits while striking out three. He was relieved by Ryan Clark, who was credited with the loss.

Salt Lake and Nashville will play their final game of the four-game set. The evening with be filled with fun and games as the organization celebrates the birthday of the Bees' mascot, Bumble. Many special guests are scheduled to attend and lots of surprises are in store for those in attendance. Tickets are available at slbees.com.
