AHL Hershey Bears

Bears looking for third straight win tonight

November 26, 2004 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release

After back-to-back wins over Albany and Springfield, the BEARS look to make it three wins in a row by going head-to-head with Philadelphia. The task is a daunting one as the Phantoms enter play this evening one win short of an American Hockey League record for consecutive wins. Since opening the season 0-2-0-0, the Phantoms have won 15 consecutive games to pull within one game of the AHL mark set by the Baltimore Skipjacks twenty seasons ago. HERSHEY has won back-to-back games for the first time this season entering play tonight, and Tom Lawson has won them both. The second year goaltender from Whitby, Ontario is expected to draw the start tonight against the Phantoms.

Marty Hlinka, who scored the game-winning goal Wednesday night over Springfield, has points in three of four games entering tonight's action. The BEARS will wrap up the month of November on Saturday night hosting Philadelphia at GIANT Center at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for Saturday's game are still available at the GIANT Center box office or by calling (717) 534-3911.
