Bears Announce Three Roster Moves

HERSHEY – The HERSHEY Bears announced today in separate transactions that Joe Goodenow has been released from his player tryout contract, winger Rob Voltera has been loaned to San Diego (WCHL), and defenseman Will Magnuson has been assigned to Reading (ECHL).

Goodenow had been sidelined since January 24th due to injury, and was cleared to play today by the Bears' medical staff. In 23 games this season, Goodenow had two assists and 18 penalty minutes. Goodenow is expected to report to Reading (ECHL). Voltera, HERSHEY'S team leader in penalty minutes with 127, had been sidelined since January 25th with a hip injury and was also cleared to play today by team medical personnel. Magnuson was signed to an amateur tryout contract on February 26th and did not dress for a game for HERSHEY this season.

The Bears take to the road Friday riding a season high five game winning streak. HERSHEY plays at Rochester Friday night at 7:35 for the sixth and final meeting of the season with the Americans before heading to Wilkes Barre/Scranton for a 7:05 Saturday game. The Bears play at home Sunday against the Binghamton Senators at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are still available for Sunday's game with Binghamton, and all the games can be heard on BIG 92.7 FM.
