Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

The Hamilton Bulldogs were shut out for just the third time this season as they lost a 3-0 decision to the Saint John Flames at Harbour Station in Saint John on Wednesday night. The Flames are just one of two teams the Bulldogs do not have a winning record against this season.

Despite the loss, Hamilton remains first overall in the AHL with 100 points on the season. Through 66 games the Bulldogs record stands at 45 wins, 11 losses, 6 ties and 4 overtime losses.

Scoring for the Flames on Wednesday night were Blair Betts, Shaun Sutter and Micki DuPont. Adding assists for Saint John were Betts, DuPont, Rick Mrozik, Matt Lombardi and J.F. Boutin.

Ty Conklin made 37 saves for Hamilton in the loss. Dany Sabourin earned his 12th victory of the season, stopping 31 shots.

The Hamilton Bulldogs will look to end a 14 game-winless streak they have in Saint John against the Flames when they play in a re-match on Friday, March 7th at Harbour Station. Bulldogs fans can listen to Derek Wills call all the action, beginning with the pre-game show at 6:15 p.m., on 820 CHAM-AM or on-line at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com.
