CHARLOTTE, Nc. - Bulls starting pitcher Shane Baz tossed five dominant frames while Bulls third baseman Tristan Gray and first baseman Dalton Kelly each notched two RBI Saturday afternoon in their 4-0 win over the Charlotte Knights at Truist Field.

Gray (2-3, R, 2B) started the scoring early after an RBI single in the top of the second, scoring DH David Freitas. Kelly (2-3, 2RBI) would follow Gray's lead with a sacrifice fly to center that scored LF Miles Mastrobuoni.

The duo provided another one-two punch in the seventh, as Gray roped a double to centerfield scoring Vidal Brujan, only to cross the plate himself after a single to left field by Kelly.

Baz (5.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K) blanked the Knights in a dominant effort, earning his second win on the season. Knights starting pitcher Alex McRae (4.0 IP, 5H, 2R, 2 ER, BB, 3 K) suffered the loss, his sixth of the season.

The Bulls will polish off the second half of a doubleheader later this evening. First pitch for that game is slated for 7:04pm. Durham's starter has not yet been determined, and RHP Jimmy Lambert (3-3, 5.13 ) will take the mound for Charlotte.

Durham returns home on Tuesday, September 7 for their penultimate homestand of the year, facing off against the Norfolk Tides for seven tilts. Start time for that series' opener is set for 6:35pm. Tickets for that game, as well as all remaining Bulls home games are available and can be purchased at DurhamBulls.com.
