Chesapeake Baysox News Release
BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today the second annual Bull and Oyster Roast at Prince George's Stadium on Sunday, May 23, as the Baysox take on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at 2:05 p.m. The event takes place in the Diamond View Restaurant and features a two-hour buffet and drink specials throughout the game.
Baysox Director of Ticket Operations Charlene Fewer expects the event to sell out this year. "Last year our fans had a great time during the roast," Fewer said. "And with all the interest we've had so far, we've been encouraging fans to order their tickets early so they are not disappointed."
The climate-controlled Diamond View Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy the event. Fans can watch the game from either the air-conditioned interior or from seats on a deck outside the restaurant. Perched on top of the Press Box behind home plate, the restaurant provides a great view of all the action on the field.
Food will be served from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. and this year's menu includes oyster chowder with corn bread, fried clams, grilled oysters, shucked fresh oysters, hand carved pit beef and turkey, four cheese macaroni, baked ziti with sausage, tossed salad, soft drinks, lemonade and iced tea. Fans can also enjoy $3 draft beer specials throughout the game.
Tickets for the Bull and Oyster Roast are $43, or $39 for Baysox season ticket holders, and must be purchased by Wednesday, May 19. For more information, or to order tickets, fans can contact Vince Riggs at (301) 464-4885. Parking, as it is for all Baysox games, is FREE.
