LOUISVILLE, K.Y. - Four of the Tribe's six hits came from Jake Elmore and Eric Wood as the rest of the offense fell quiet for the 3-2 loss against Louisville in the series finale on Sunday.

Wood and Steven Baron created chances for the Tribe on the bases, each leading off back-to-back innings with doubles. The Indians went down in order each time and stranded a total of seven baserunners in the game.

The Indians (64-68) began the day with a two-run first frame as Elmore's sixth home run of the season snuck over the left field wall following a leadoff walk to Cole Tucker.

Three straight free bases for Louisville (54-78) cost the Indians in the third inning when a bases-loaded walk brought in the Bats' first run. Three frames later, Mitch Nay sent a two-run shot far over the wall in left to erase the Tribe's early lead and put the Bats up for the win.

Vladimir Gutierrez (W, 5-11) struck out seven through six innings and earned the win on the comeback.

The Louisville bullpen held the Tribe to one hit and two baserunners in the final three innings. Matt Bowman (S, 4) came into the game for the ninth inning and worked around a one-out walk.

Rookie Davis (1-5) gave up four hits and two runs in 3.1 innings of relief work.

The Indians return to Victory Field tomorrow for a four-game set against Toledo in their last homestand of the season. Cody Ponce (1-1, 4.00) is set to take the mound for the Tribe.
