NYSEG Stadium - Binghamton, NY - 7:05 PM

LAST GAME: The Binghamton Mets used an eight-run seventh inning to top the Akron RubberDucks, 11-3, in the series finale at Canal Park on Thursday. The B-Mets were shutout through the first four frames, but starter Greg Peavey kept the RubberDucks at bay, giving up just two runs in six frames. Binghamton racked up 14 hits, including a season-high five doubles, in their fourth straigh win. Kyle Johnson, Xorge Carrillo and Rylan Sandoval each tallied three-hit nights. The B-Mets have scored 41 runs and collected 48 hits in their last four games.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Tyler Pill makes his 12th start of the season and first against Erie. The Covina, California native dropped his first five appearances of the year, but is 3-0 since May 5. He hasn't allowed more than three runs in any start since his last defeat. Pill didn't factor in the decision his last time out against New Britain on Sunday, June 8. The righty allowed two runs on five hits in five innings in a 7-3 Binghamton win. The Cal St.-Fullerton product was taken by the Mets in the fourth round of the 2011 draft.

ERIE STARTER: RHP Kyle Ryan takes the bump for his 13th start of the season and first against Binghamton. After beginning the season 2-6, the Auburndale, Florida native is 3-0 since May 17. That includes a win in his last outing. Ryan tossed a complete-game shutout in his team's 5-0 win over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Saturday, June 7. The southpaw allowed just six hits and didn't walk a batter in the victory. Ryan was drafted by Detroit out of Auburndale High School in the 12th round of the 2010 draft.

THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY: The B-Mets have had an inning of six or more runs in three of their last four games. That includes an eight-run performance in the seventh inning on Thursday that blew the game open. Binghamton batted around in each frame, sending a combined 32 batters to the plate and scoring 21 runs.

SEA-ING WOLVES AGAIN: Friday's series opener marks the sixth matchup between Binghamton and Erie this season, but it's hardly the end of their meetings. The two squads are scheduled to play 17 more times in 2014, including ten games at NYSEG stadium. The B-Mets are 4-1 against the SeaWolves this season.

WHAT A START: Excluding reliever Hamilton Bennett's start in game two of Tuesday's doubleheader, the B-Mets starters have put up four straight quality outings. Hansel Robles, Angel Cuan, Greg Peavey and Matt Bowman have gone 3-1 and combined to give up just eight runs in the last 26 innings. This comes after the unit went 1-6 and allowed 37 runs over the previous nine games.

IT TAKES TWO: The B-Mets smacked a season-high five doubles in Thursday's win over Akron. Binghamton has collected at least one two-bagger in 12 of the last 13 games, including seven straight. It brings Binghamton's total up the 131 on the season, good for third in the Eastern League.

TAKING THEIR PILL: After going 0-5 Tyler Pill's first five starts this season, the B-Mets are undefeated in his last six games. Through those first five, Binghamton average fewer than two runs per game while getting shutout three times. The team has scored a combined 29 runs in his last three, including 15 on June 3 at Altoona.

LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL: Before their current four-game winning streak, Binghamton was just 3-9 in its last twelve games. In those losses, the B-Mets were held to three runs or fewer five times. Binghamton has scored ten or more runs in each of their last three outings.

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: The B-Mets continue their series against Erie with a double-header on Saturday, beginning at 6:05 PM. Hansel Robles takes the hill in game one, opposite Wilsen Palacios for Erie.
