Avoid traffic and Find Free Parking for Tucson Padres Star Spangled Spectacular

The largest fireworks show of the season will follow the Tucson Padres game for our Star Spangled Spectacular on Thursday, July 4th. The Padres take on the Las Vegas 51s at Kino Stadium. Some of the music during the fireworks will include Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen; America by Neil Diamond; Living in America by James Brown; R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A. by John Mellencamp; and God Bless the USA by Lee Greenwood. Tucson band GRIND will perform before and after the game. Nine active military in uniform from DMAFB will join the Padres on the field at their positions for the national anthem. A moment of silence will take place prior to the national anthem in honor of the 19 fallen firefighters from Yarnell.

The kids will be allowed to run the bases following the fireworks. The Padres have also scheduled a fireworks show following our July 5th game.

We encourage fans to come early. Parking is free at Kino Stadium. The games start at 7:05, gates will open at 5:30. The Will Call ticket window opens at 10 a.m. Reserved tickets still remain. Motorists need to know that they can access stadium parking from Country Club Road via Milber Street as well as from Ajo Way via Forgeus Avenue - map is below. Motorists headed to the University of Arizona Medical Center - South Campus should stay in the left lane on Ajo Way.

From northwest of Kino Sports Complex on Interstate 10, eastbound vehicles are encouraged to take:

. exit 262 onto Benson Highway and then left onto East Ajo Way.

. exit 264B onto South Palo Verde Road, then left onto Irvington Road and then right onto Country Club Road.

From southeast of Kino Sports Complex on I-10, westbound vehicles are encouraged to take:

. exit 264, turn left onto Irvington Road, then right onto northbound Palo Verde or Country Club.

From north or south of the complex, Park Avenue, Country Club and Palo Verde all connect to Ajo Way.
