LOVES PARK, Ill. - A 6-run first inning in game one of Thursday's double-header held up for the Aviators, as they picked up their second win of the season over the Normal CornBelters, 7-4. Normal won game two, 7-1.

Jon Gulbransen tossed a complete game gem, earning his first win of the 2013 campaign. He went seven innings and allowed four runs, commanding his pitches all night.

The Aviators got four of their six first inning runs on bases-loaded walks issued by Jose Trinidad, who only lasted 0.2 innings. Rockford also got RBI's on back-to-back base hits from Michael Hur and Jereme Milons.

In game two, Eric Bainer had an RBI double to shallow center field, allowing Michael Hur to score all the way from first base. The two-bagger cut the Normal lead to 2-1, but the Aviators never got closer in the 6-run defeat.

Rockford welcomes Windy City tomorrow night for a 3-game series that features post-game Friday night fireworks, presented by Rockford Register Star and 96.7 The Eagle. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
