SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - Is there a superhero in your life who deserves recognition? Nominate a special person in your life for the Schaumburg Boomers My Superhero Contest, with winners recognized on Superhero Night Friday, June 21 vs the Lake Erie Crushers at Boomers Stadium, complete with Fireworks presented by US 99.5 and other heroic fun!
This is your chance to recognize that outstanding individual in our own community. Honor your superhero with the opportunity to throw out a ceremonial first pitch at the game!
Here's how to submit your nomination:
Send us a 250-word essay about why the superhero in your life deserves to be recognized. Nominees can be selected for any reason, whether personal or public service. If they've made a positive impact, we want to hear about it!
Email your essay, along with your name, phone number and your superhero's name and phone number to info@boomersbaseball.com before Tuesday, June 18. Entries will be read and the winner will be contacted promptly, so start writing soon!
The selected superhero will receive two (2) tickets to the Boomers June 21 home game along with the chance to throw out a ceremonial first pitch. The individual who nominated the selected superhero will also receive two (2) tickets so you can cheer them on!
Superhero Night will feature a pre-game costume parade and contest for everyone who comes dressed up. Boomers Stadium will also light up the sky with Fireworks Friday presented by US 99.5. And as always, enjoy free parking and run the bases after the game!
