Aviators Announce Playoff Tickets On Sale

Coastal Bend Aviators News Release


The Coastal Bend Aviators will be placing single game playoff tickets on sale tonight, Friday, August 8th. The Aviators are in good position to make a run for the Central League Second Half Western Division Championship and thus earn a playoff spot for 2003 post-season play.

This will give fans their first opportunity to purchase tickets to all possible playoff dates. All possible playoff dates include:

Divisional Playoffs
Game #3 August 28, 2003 vs. Edinburg @ Aviators Stadium 7:05 p.m.
Game #4 August 29, 2003 vs. Edinburg @ Aviators Stadium 7:05 p.m. (if necessary)
Game #5 August 30, 2003 vs. Edinburg @ Aviators Stadium 7:05 p.m. (if necessary)

Championship Series
September 1, 2003 vs. Eastern Division Champions @ Aviators Stadium 7:05 p.m.
September 2, 2003 vs. Eastern Division Champions @ Aviators Stadium 7:05 p.m.

Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Ticket prices will be $10.00 for lower level box seats, $8.00 for upper level box seats, $8.00 for lower level reserve seats and $7.00 for upper level reserve seats. Grass Burm General Admission seating will be available for $6.00.

The Aviators play game one of a three game homestand against the San Angelo Colts tonight at Aviators Stadium. Join us for a Color-TV-a-thon and our baseball card giveaway. The first 1,500 fans through the gates will receive a free Aviators Baseball Card Team Set sponsored by KZTV CBS 10, KSIX ESPN Radio 1230 AM, and Horizon Photography. Fans can also become eligible to win one of ten color televisions that will be given away during the game. Saturday, August 9th don't miss Midget Wrestling brought to you by KCCG, Rock 107.3. Sunday, August 10th is Kid's Day when all kids (12) and under can receive $2 reserve seats with a paying adult. Fans will also have the opportunity to register for a Carnival Cruise to Cozumel sponsored by Litton Travel and Treasures.
