
Fort Worth Defeats Sports, 2-1

Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release
For the second straight night the final score was 2-1, but tonight it was Ft. Worth on the winning side to even the series 1-1.
The Cats scored a run in the second and an unearned run in the 5th to take a 2-0 lead over Shreveport. The Sports scored their only run in the sixth on a RBI single by Tony Schifano and Shreveport had opportunities in the final three innings to tie or take the lead, but couldn't get that base hit.
Angel Aragon (6-5) work 6 2/3 innings to pick up the win while Chris Cumberland pitched the final three innings to record the save for Ft. Worth. Jeffery Terrell (1-2) pitched eight innings for the Sports to take the loss.
Shreveport and Ft. Worth will meet in the third game of the four game series Saturday at 7:05pm at Fair Grounds Field.
