?AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Spurs (20-29), presented by SWBC, fell to the Sioux Falls Skyforce (24-25) by a final score of 116-111 on Thursday evening at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in their final home game of the season.
San Antonio Spurs assignee Lonnie Walker IV and guard John Holland led Spurs scoring with 23 points apiece. Ben Moore recorded 13 points in 27 minutes while Drew Eubanks, San Antonio assignee Chimezie Metu and Travis Bader all chipped in 10 points each.
The Silver and Black took control in the first quarter, going up by as many as 15 points heading in to the second frame up 36-23. A 12-0 run by the Skyforce in the middle of the second quarter gave them their first advantage of the contest. The teams then began trading leads before going in to their locker rooms at halftime tied up at 55.
The second half stayed close, including 13 lead changes with neither team able to gain more than a single-digit advantage. The Skyforce were able to grab a lead with two minutes left in the contest that they never lost.
For the Skyforce, Yante Maten led scoring with 33 points in 40 minutes. Rodney Purvis contributed 24 points in 40 minutes while Bubu Palo finished with 22.
