Everett Silvertips News Release

REGINA, SK - Austin Roest brought the drama in Regina Saturday night, netting a late-third-period goal to seal a 3-2 victory for the Everett Silvertips over the Pats.

Jesse Heslop opened the scoring for the Silvertips at 15:40 in the first period, as an Austin Roest shot from the slot resulted in a loose puck right on the goalline for Heslop to tap in. The goal is Heslop's second of the season and ninth point in 10 games.

Borya Valis knotted the score at 10:07 in the second period, rifling a one-timer in for his fourth goal of the season. The Tips re-claimed the lead just two minutes later, as Jackson Berezowski tipped an Aidan Sutter shot from the blueline for his tenth goal of the season. Connor Bedard once more brought the game to even with a powerplay tally at 18:26, his league-leading 11th goal of the year.

With time winding down in regulation, Austin Roest potted the game-winning goal, wiring a wrist shot through traffic with 1:19 remaining in the third. With the goal, Roest now has 10 on the season and 21 points, tied for second-most in the league.

Braden Holt stopped 27 of 29 for the win, his seventh of the year.

The Silvertips now turn their attention to the Winnipeg ICE Tuesday night. Live coverage begins at 4:30 p.m. PT on KRKO Radio.
