The Americans will take on the Warriors tonight as they open their East Division road trip in Moose Jaw.

It will be the first time the two teams have faced off since February 14, 2020 when Tri-City earned a 5-4 regulation victory over the Warriors in Kennewick. Sasha Mutala recorded his first WHL hat trick that night as he scored the game-winning goal with one-second remaining. The Americans last visited Moose Jaw on November 13, 2018 when they were shut out 7-0 by the Warriors.

The Americans and Warriors both come into tonight's game on a winning streak. Tri-City has won their last three while Moose Jaw has victories in their last four. Tri-City currently boasts the best power play in the WHL with 32.6% success while Moose Jaw is 12th at 21.4%. The Americans penalty kill is 17th in the WHL at 74.1% and the Warriors are 7th at 82.9%.

Tri-City most recently played last Saturday as they ended the Portland Winterhawks' undefeated stretch with a 7-3 victory in Kennewick.

The Ams dominated from the start as they scored a season-high five goals in the first period.

Tyson Greenway led the team with three goals and two assists for his first WHL hat trick and five-point night. The 19-year-old forward had previously never had more than two points in a game.

Adam Mechura, Deagan McMillan, Jake Sloan, and Parker Bell also scored for the Americans.

The victory was Tri-City's third straight including victories against Everett and Spokane. Tomas Suchanek has played in net for all of the Americans' wins this season. Last Saturday he turned aside 44 of a season-high 47 shots faced. Tri-City was out shot 47-25.
