Elmira Jackals News Release

The Elmira Jackals, proud members of the United Hockey League, are pleased to announce that Peter Aubry has been named the UHL Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday November 16, 2003.

The 26 year-old from Windsor, Ontario, stood tall in week 4 as he helped Elmira pick up 4 of 6 points on the weekend. In three games against two of the top teams in the UHL Aubry held his opponents to two goals or less, posting a 1.33 Goals Against Average and a .952 Save percentage (79 saves on 83 shots). He stopped 7 of 10 attempts in the two shootouts and was one deflection away from a shutout on Saturday vs. Kalamazoo despite facing 32 shots.

"His numbers so far this season are very deceiving," said Head Coach Todd Brost. "Aubry has been really battling and making the saves he needs to make, and it was great to get him a win."

The Jackals net minder has made a team-high nine appearances this season, including eight starts, for a 3-3-2 record. Aubry, who is sixth in the league in GAA (2.65), posted a record of 1-0-2 over the past week.
