Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack will look to bounce back from a loss on Wednesday night when they hit the road for three straight games starting on Friday, Feb. 12.

Currently sitting 7th in the Western Conference standings, Owen Sound will travel north to take on the Sault Set. Marie Greyhounds, who sit exactly one point and one spot ahead of the Attack in the standings.

Friday's matchup is the 2nd of two meetings between the rivals. The two sides previously met all the way back on Oct. 3, a game that saw the Hounds down the Attack 2-1 in a shootout at the Bayshore.

Both squads are coming off of losses on Wednesday evening, with the Soo having fallen 2-1 to the Sarnia Sting while the Attack were downed by the Barrie Colts.

Bryson Cianfrone's 37 points in 43 games played leads the Attack in 2015-2016, while captain Santino Centorame's 32 points still has him in 10th in defensive scoring in the league.

The Hounds are led into the weekend by captain Blake Speers who has amassed 50 points in 51 appearances.

Puck drop for the game at the Essar Centre is set for 7:07pm and Attack fans can catch it live on Rogers Local 53 or by tuning into Kia of Owen Sound Terry's Trailer Service Bear Radio on 560 CFOS.

Following Friday's game, Owen Sound will head to Flint for their 4th and final meeting of the year with the Firebirds.

Saturday night's game, a 7:30pm start, will mark the first time Flint forward Keenan Reynolds will take on his former team since being traded just prior to the trade deadline.

The Attack have won all three games in the season series between the two sides on the year, including a 2-1 thriller at the Dort Event Centre in the only previous meeting that took place in Flint.

Draft eligible forward Will Bitten leads the firebirds, whose 15-29-4-2 record has them in 9th place in the Western Conference, with 48 points by way of 21 goals and 27 assists on the year.

Owen Sound will then wrap up its weekend of travel with a Family Day game in Oshawa on Monday, Feb. 15.

Scheduled for a 2:05pm puck drop, the Attack and Generals will also be meeting for the last time in the 2015-16 season with Owen Sound looking for revenge after dropping a 5-4 overtime decision in the Scenic City on Jan. 2.

The Generals are embroiled in a race for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, and enter Monday's game with Anthony Cirelli leading the charge thanks to his 44 points on the season.

Like Friday's game in the Soo, fans can catch both Saturday's and Monday's games live on Kia of Owen Sound Terry's Trailer Service Bear Radio on 560 CFOS and on Rogers Local 53.

The Weekend Preview is presented by Joe Tomato's, located next to the Galaxy Cinemas on the Sunset Strip. Following every Attack home game, fans can enjoy half off wings and appetizers at Joe Tomato's just by bringing in their ticket stubs.
