(Kingston, ON) - Michael Dal Colle scored the eventual game winner in the second period, lifting the Frontenacs to a 2-1 win in front of 4,111 at the K-Rock Centre Friday night.

Windsor (31-16-5-0) was forced to kill 10 penalties, including lengthy 5-on-3 situations in each of the first two periods.

Trailing 2-0 after 40 minutes, Connor Chatham (13) drove the net to finish off a pretty three- way passing play with Kingston native Gabriel Vilardi and Cristiano DiGiacinto just past the eight-minute mark of the third period.

The Spits pulled Mario Culina (37 saves) with 2:04 to play in regulation, but couldn't beat Lucas Peressini (32 saves) for the equalizer despite mounting significant pressure.

Lawson Crouse had the other goal for Kingston (33-14-2-2), which held on to top spot in the Eastern Conference with the win.

The Spits will travel to Ottawa Saturday, before taking on the 67s Sunday afternoon (3:00).
