
Atilano activated and VanAllen placed on DL

Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators in conjunction with the Washington Nationals have announced that RHP Luis Atilano has been activated from the disabled list and is expected to start today for the Senators at Reading. The Senators have also announced that LHP Cory VanAllen has been placed on the disabled list retroactive to May 14 with a sore back.
Atilano was 1-3 with a 7.50 ERA in five games, all starts. He was originally selected by the Atlanta Braves in the first round of the 2003 draft. He was acquired by the Nats from the Braves on 8/31/06 for OF Darryl Ward.
VanAllen was 0-3 with a 6.33 ERA in six starts this season. He was selected by the Nationals in the 5th round in the 2006 draft.
With these moves, the Senators roster is at 24 active players plus three players on the disabled list.
