MEMPHIS, Tennessee -Memphis Redbirds outfielder Randy Arozarena has been named the St. Louis Cardinals Minor League Player of the Month for June, the organization announced Thursday.

In 28 games in the month between Memphis and Double-A Springfield, Arozarena hit .374 with five home runs, eight doubles, 20 RBI, and four stolen bases. He reached base at a .456 clip and slugged .607 during the month.

After making his Memphis debut on June 12 after arriving from Springfield, Arozarena proceeded to hit in 13-of-18 games in the month with the Redbirds, including a five-game hitting streak to end the month that included a pair of four-hit games.

This is Arozarena's second-career monthly honor from the Cardinals after being honored in June 2017 while playing for Advanced-A Palm Beach.

Palm Beach pitcher Alvaro Seijas earned this month's pitching honors from the Cardinals alongside Arozarena.

Arozarena and the Redbirds are in Iowa tonight to start a four-game series with the Cubs before the All-Star Break next Monday-Wednesday. The Redbirds are back at AutoZone Park next Thursday, July 11.
