St. Petersburg. Florida -Eric Krupa, President of the South Atlantic League, announced the selection of the 2013 Annual All-Star Team, which includes a spot for a relief pitcher for the first time in the league's history. The All-Star Team was voted on by the 14 South Atlantic League Team's Field Managers, General Managers, Sports Writers and Broadcasters for a total of 56 votes.
Rome Braves relief pitcher Shae Simmons joins the team as the top reliever in the southern division. Simmons led the South Atlantic League in saves until he was transferred to Lynchburg last month. He is currently tied for the lead with 24.
