
BlueClaws Unveil 2014 Schedule

LAKEWOOD, NJ - While the 2013 BlueClaws season finishes up, the 2014 season will be here soon, and the team has released their 2014 schedule, with Opening Day at FirstEnergy Park for the team's 14th season at the Jersey Shore on Thursday, April 10th.

"While it's sad to see one season wrap up, it's very exciting to release the schedule for the next season," said BlueClaws General Manager Brandon Marano. "We are already in the planning process for next year and this is one of many steps leading into Opening Day."
2014 ticket packages are now on sale. Detailed information, including various ticket package gifts, will be released soon.
Marano noted that it's only 220 days from the last home game of 2013 into the first of 2014. "It will be here before we know it!"
The BlueClaws open 2014 with a week on the road, playing four games at Savannah beginning April 3rd and three games at Greensboro. They come back to Lakewood and open the home schedule on Thursday, April 10th with the first of a four-game series against Hagerstown.
The BlueClaws will play a pair of seven-game homestands in April. The second of the two homestands includes three games against Charleston (Yankees) and four against Savannah (Mets).
May includes 10 home games, while June includes 15. The BlueClaws will end the first half at home with a Father's Day game on June 15th against Hickory (Rangers). They also open the second-half at home with a four-game series against West Virginia (Pirates).
There are 14 home games in July, including a three-game series against Hagerstown (Nationals) from July 1st - 3rd. Greenville (Red Sox) will be in Lakewood for a three-game series from July 23rd - July 25th.
Finally, the BlueClaws have 17 home games in August, including games on the first four Sundays and three of the five Fridays and Saturdays. The home schedule concludes with a three-game series against Hickory (Rangers) with the last home game of the season on Thursday, August 28th. The BlueClaws finish the regular season on Labor Day, September 1st, after a four-game series in Hagerstown.
All told, the BlueClaws have 12 Sundays (Kids Eat Free), seven Mondays (Kids Eat Free), nine Tuesdays (Seniors Eat Free), eight Wednesdays (We Salute You Wednesdays), 12 Thursdays (Thirsty Thursdays), 11 Fridays (fireworks) and 11 Saturdays. In the second half, the BlueClaws will be home for six different weekends (Friday - Sunday).
In addition, 11 of the possible 13 South Atlantic League opponents will visit Lakewood including affiliates of the Yankees, Mets, and Red Sox.
Game times and 2014 promotions (giveaways, entertainers, theme nights, autograph signers, etc.) will be released at a later date.
The BlueClaws are the Jersey Shore's top stop for affordable, family entertainment. They have led the South Atlantic League in attendance in all 13 years of existence.
