Anaheim Recalls Wagner, Reassigns Karlsson to Norfolk

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks have announced that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Chris Wagner and reassigned forward William Karlsson to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals.

Wagner, 23, has previously played two games this season in Anaheim, going scoreless in both. Wagner has spent the majority of his season in Norfolk with the Admirals and made 41 appearances so far this season. The 6-foot, 200-pounder bagged 26 points from 13 goals and 13 assists. The centerman tallied 54 minutes in the penalty box and a plus-minus rating of minus-5.

Karlsson, 22, was most recently recalled by the Ducks on February 24 and played in the following night ' s matchup against Ottawa. Karlsson went scoreless in the contest, but skated in 12 shifts for a total of 9:01 on ice, and had a 42.9 face-off percentage. It was the 18th game with the Ducks for the Marsta, Sweden native, who totals three points (two goals, one assist). The 6-foot, 185-pound center will be a welcome return for Norfolk, as Karlsson recorded eight points in his last six outings before being recalled.

The Admirals host a back-to-back against the Providence Bruins this weekend, set to begin tomorrow evening at 7:30 p.m.
