WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - Hockey fans in the greater Pittsburgh area will be able to keep tabs on Penguins players of the future, as My Pittsburgh TV - WPMY22 will carry four upcoming Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins broadcasts, it was announced today.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are the American Hockey League affiliate and top developmental team of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Pittsburgh's current roster features many players who began their careers with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, including Marc-Andre Fleury, Kris Letang, Beau Bennett, Robert Bortuzzo, Simon Despres, Derrick Pouliot and Rob Scuderi.

Pittsburgh fans will now be able to see up-and-coming prospects, such as Scott Harrington, Brian Dumoulin, Bobby Farnham, Jayson Megna, Bryan Rust, Scott Wilson and Matt Murray, in action during the months of March and April.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins broadcaster Mike O'Brien will provide play-by-play for each telecast with special guests handling color commentary.

One of the most successful teams in the AHL, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have appeared in the Calder Cup Playoffs in each of the past 12 seasons - tied for the current longest streak in the league. The Penguins have a record of 30-18-2-4 through their first 64 games this season, and are currently in second place in the AHL's East Division.
