Columbus Blue Jackets Trade Right Wing Adam Cracknell to St. Louis

Springfield, Mass. - The Columbus Blue Jackets have traded right wing Adam Cracknell to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for future considerations, Blue Jackets General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Cracknell, 29, recorded an assist and two penalty minutes in 17 games with the Blue Jackets and added 3-4-7 and two penalty minutes in 18 games with the American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons this season after being claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings on October 7. The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native has appeared in 82 career NHL games with Columbus and St. Louis, registering 6-11-17 and 14 penalty minutes.
Selected by Calgary in the ninth round, 279th overall, in the 2004 NHL Draft, Cracknell has also appeared in 393 career American Hockey League games and collected 90-117-207 and 222 penalty minutes with the Quad City Flames, Peoria Rivermen, Chicago Wolves and Falcons. He was a Western Hockey League Second Team All-Star after picking up a career-high 42-51-93 and 85 penalty minutes in 72 games with the Kootenay Ice in 2005-06, the final of his four WHL seasons.
