February 26, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release
The Chicago Wolves announced Thursday that ADAM CRACKNELL has been assigned to the team. The forward spent the second half of last season with the Wolves and was one of the team's top producers in the stretch run and postseason.
CRACKNELL was acquired by the St. Louis Blues from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for future considerations before reporting to the Wolves. He collected one assist in 17 games with Columbus and seven points (3G, 4A) in 18 games with Springfield (AHL) this season. Columbus claimed him off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings on Oct. 7.
The 29-year-old will join the Wolves for his second stint with the team after coming to Chicago in late January last season on loan from St. Louis. In his first run with the squad, he posted 25 points (12G, 13A), eight penalty minutes, and a +9 plus/minus rating in 28 games and added another four points (3G, A) in seven Calder Cup Playoff tilts.
The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, native has accrued 207 points (90G, 117A) and 222 penalty minutes in 393 AHL games with Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben (2005-06), Quad City (2007-09), Peoria (2009-13), Chicago (2013-14), and Springfield (2014-15). In 11 Calder Cup Playoff contests, he has registered six points (5G, A). He has suited up for 82 career NHL games, posting 17 points (6G, 11A) in the span of five seasons with St. Louis (2010-14) and Columbus (2014-15). He added one goal in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Blues during the 2013 and 2014 postseasons.
CRACKNELL was selected by the Calgary Flames with their 10th selection, 279th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
The Wolves wrap up their seven-game homestand this weekend when they host Grand Rapids at 7 p.m. Saturday and Milwaukee at 3 p.m. Sunday for an Amtrak Rivalry clash. To get the best ticket specials, visit ChicagoWolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
