Anaheim Recalls G Igor Bobkov from Admirals

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have recalled goaltender Igor Bobkov from the Admirals under emergency conditions.

Bobkov, 22 (1/2/91), has appeared in 28 games with Norfolk this season, going 11-17-0 with a 3.13 goals-against average (GAA) and .903 save percentage (SV%). The 6-5, 216-pound netminder recorded his first career AHL shutout on Oct. 28 at St. John's, making 38 saves in a 2-0 victory. Bobkov had a three-game win streak from Oct. 13-28, compiling a 2.21 GAA and a .938 SV% with one shutout in that stretch.

Selected by Anaheim in the third round (76th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Bobkov has gone 15-17-1 with a 3.10 GAA and .907 SV% in 33 career AHL contests. He won a gold medal with Team Russia at the 2011 IIHF World Junior Championship, stopping all 20 shots faced in relief en route to a 5-3 championship win over Canada on Jan. 5, 2011.
