Americans Surrender Late Lead, Fall 3-2

The Americans fell 3-2 to the Vancouver Giants tonight at the Toyota Center.

Jaden Lipinski opened scoring for the Giants 5:23 into the game. Sam Huo tied it for Tri-City with two seconds remaining in the period as he scored off a rebound from Rhett Melnyk on the power play.

Huo followed with his second goal three minutes into the middle frame as he picked up his own rebound to give Tri-City a 2-1 lead.

Lipinski added his second of the night for Vancouver with three minutes left in the period to once again tie the game.

The game stayed tied at two until Fabian Lysell added the game-winning goal with just under two minutes remaining. The Giants held on to take a 3-2 victory.

Tomas Suchanek turned aside 38 of 41 shots faced for the Ams.
