Matthew Savoie and Ben Zloty each had a goal and two assists to lead the Winnipeg ICE to a 6-3 victory over the Brandon Wheat Kings Friday night at Westoba Place.

Brandon's Vincent Iorio opened the scoring just 36 seconds into the game. Winnipeg's Jakin Smallwood evened the score before the first period came to an end.

Riley Ginnell and Ridly Greig scored second period power play goals just under three minutes apart to give the Wheat Kings a 3-1 lead.

Zach Benson and Zloty on the power play tied at the game at three through 40 minutes.

Mikey Milne scored the game winning goal 2:37 in the third period, Milne led all players with six shots on goal.

Savoie and Owen Pedersen's empty net goal completed the comeback for the ICE, who improved their record to 38-9-3-2.

Daniel Hauser made 20 of 23 saves for the win in net while Ethan Kruger stopped 24 of 29 for Brandon.

Winnipeg went 1/4 on the power play while the Wheat Kings were 2/4.

The two teams return to the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena for Round 8 in the Battle of Manitoba presented by Taylor McCaffery Lawyers tomorrow (Saturday) night at 7:00.
