Hauser Leads ICE to 5-0 Win over Brandon

Nolan Orzeck opened the scoring 6:18 into the first period Saturday night as the Winnipeg ICE cruised to a 5-0 victory over the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Orzeck also assisted on goals by Jakin Smallwood and Evan Friesen to finish with a three point night.

Owen Pederson's second goal in as many games and Skyler Bruce rounded out Winnipeg's attack as they improved their record to 39-9-3-2.

Daniel Hauser made 25 saves for his fifth shut out of the season.

Brandon's Ethan Kruger stopped 34 of 39 shots as their record drops to 29-20-3-2.

The ICE are 6-1-0-1 versus the Wheat Kings this season. The final two games in the Battle of Manitoba presented by Taylor McCaffery Lawyers are Friday, March 18 at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena and next Saturday, the 19th, in Brandon.

Next action for the ICE is Tuesday at home against the Calgary Hitmen at 7:00.
