Americans Rally Twice, Beat Wichita 4-3 in Overtime

Wichita, Kansas - The Allen Americans defeated the Wichita Thunder on Friday night by a score of 4-3 in overtime at the Intrust Bank Arena, ending their two-game losing streak.
Rick Pinskton, scored the game winner in overtime, just his second goal of the season to lift the Americans to the extra session victory. Chris Crane scored two goals for Allen while Greger Hanson scored his sixth of the year and first since returning from the San Jose Barracuda.
"We battled back twice tonight," said Greger Hanson following the overtime win. "We never gave up, even being down 2-0 in the second period. This was a big emotional win for us and a victory you can build on for the weekend"
Allen outshot Wichita 41 to 35 for the game improving to 5-0 against the Thunder this season. The Americans scored twice on special teams as Greger Hanson, scored on the power play, while Chris Crane's goal came shorthanded.
The two teams play the middle game of a three game weekend series tonight at 7:05 pm at Intrust Bank Arena.
