Americans, Bees Announce Rescheduled Game Date

ALLEN, Texas- The Allen Americans, in conjunction with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and the Central Hockey League, have announced the new date and time for the game originally scheduled for January 21st at 7:30 PM.
The two clubs will now play Wednesday, February 23rd at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. Puck drop for the rescheduled event will take place at 7:00 PM CT.
"The situation was handled very well by both the staff of State Farm Arena, and that of the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees," Americans President Matt Canavan said.
"The original problem was out of their control, but they worked very diligently to get things moving in the right direction, ensuring Saturday's game could be played as planned."
Canavan said that the two clubs worked together over the past 24 hours to come to an agreement on the new game date.
"[Killer Bees General Manager] Don Belisle was very accommodating during our talks, and sensitive to our organizations travel schedule," Canavan said. "I think that together, we were able to find the right fit for both clubs."
Allen skates in Laredo on Tuesday, February 21st, which Canavan said makes the travel to Hidalgo the next day make sense.
The Killer Bees and Americans will play Saturday night, January 22nd as scheduled, with puck drop slated for 7:30 PM at State Farm Arena.
