Americans Announce Promotional Schedule For Remainder Of Season

ALLEN, Texas - The Allen Americans released their promotional schedule for the remainder of the 2009-10 season.

With 11 home games remaining in the regular season, the expansion club is pulling out all the stops to keep fans entertained.

Highlights of the schedule include a game commemorating the Kings of Rock and Pop, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, Feb. 6. The night will feature Elvis and Michael impersonators, and fans will able to get their pictures taken with them before the game.

The club will be giving away propane tailgate grills just in time for the Big Game, compliments of Dick's Sporting Goods, as well as $100 gift certificates to Hirsch's Meats in Plano for both games Friday, Feb. 5, and Saturday, Feb. 6.

The Americans are hosting a happy hour networking event before the Feb. 11 contest against Tulsa in conjunction with area chambers. Feb. 26's "Pink in the Rink" will be a night devoted to spreading awareness about breast cancer through a partnership with the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Saturday, March 6, will be a busy night with a thunderstick giveaway, courtesy of Dr. Ross Miller, and a double header with Allen High School playing Plano West High School prior to the Americans contest. The night is also the club's first "Pucks and Paws" event, where dog owners are encouraged to bring their canine friends to the pregame tailgate in The Village at Allen's Canine Commons dog park. During the evening, people who work in the health care industry will also be honored.

The Americans will wear specialty jerseys in the St. Patrick's Day matchup with Missouri and will be giving out all sorts of prizes during Fan Appreciation Weekend March 19 and 20. The complete promotional schedule is below.

The Americans, the Dallas Stars' CHL affiliate, began play last fall in the newly built Allen Event Center in The Village at Allen.
