Bucks Battle Bees Tonight In Rio HIDALGO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League are at Rio Grande Valley tonight to close out their home and home series with the Bees at the State Farm Arena. Game time is 7:35pm.

Laredo picked up a point in Thursday's shootout loss to Rio Grande Valley to move to within one point of Texas for third place in the Southern Conference. The Bucks can move into third with a win and a Brahmas loss tonight in Corpus.
The Bucks outshot the Bees Thursday night 50-32 but fell 3-2 in a shootout thanks to Andy Franck stopping 40 shots in net for Rio.
The Bucks are unbeaten in regulation against the Bees this season posting a 5-0-2 mark (3-0 in Rio) against them. Five of the first seven meetings this season between the two teams have been decided by one goal.
Laredo and Rio will meet seven times in the month of February with four of the games in Laredo and three taking place in Rio. The Bucks are 0-0-1 in that stretch thus far.
Starting the weekend of Jan 29th Bucks will play three games in three nights in seven straight weekends. In all, from January 29th-March 14th the Bucks will play 22 games in 44 days (10 home, 9 away). They are 1-2-1 so far in that span.
The Killer Bees enter tonight's game tied for fifth place in the Southern Conference with Corpus Christi. The Bees and Ice Rays have 44 points apiece.
