November 18, 2014 - ECHL (ECHL)
Allen Americans News Release

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans and ECHL announced today the club has acquired forward Jessey Astles from the Stockton Thunder, in exchange for defenseman John Ryder.

Jessey Astles is a 6'2" 205 pound power forward who plays left wing. Astles played in seven games with Stockton this season with two penalty minutes. The native of Coquitlam, BC, played five seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Kelowna Rockets, Saskatoon Blades, and Tri-City Americans. He had 11 goals and 20 points in 50 games last season with Tri-City, while accumulating 67 penalty minutes.

"Jessey attended American Hockey League Camp in Bridgeport this year," said Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. "He is a real hard hitting power forward and has a great shot. Trading for Jessey now gives us the right mix of players on the ice."

Astles will join the team this week and play this weekend against Brampton. The Americans play their final two home games before the Thanksgiving road trip, which begins next Tuesday in Tulsa. Tickets for both Friday and Saturday's games against Brampton are on sale NOW at www.ticketmaster.com or call (972) 912-1000 .
