Allen's Gill Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Riley Gill of the Allen Americans is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 10-16. It is the third time in Gill's career that he was won the weekly honor.

Gill went 3-0-0 with a 1.33 goals-against average and a save percentage of .956 in three appearances last week.

The 29-year-old stopped 28 shots in a 3-1 win at Missouri on Friday, made 30 saves in a 3-2 victory at Wichita on Saturday and turned aside 29 shots in a 3-1 win against Rapid City on Sunday.

A native of Northfield, Minn., Gill is 4-2-0 in seven appearances this season and is second in the ECHL with a .931 save percentage and sixth with a 2.16 goals-against average.

Gill has appeared in 128 career ECHL games with Allen, Reading, Kalamazoo and Victoria posting an overall record of 71-39-12 with eight shutouts, a 2.55 goals-against average and a save percentage of .916. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2013 Kelly Cup Playoffs after posting a 13-4 record, four shutouts, a 1.91 goals-against average and a save percentage of .930.

Runners Up: Niklas Lundstrom, Alaska (4-1-0, 2.13 GAA, .914 save pct.), Allen York, Florida (2-0-0, 2.00 GAA, .903 save pct.) and Adam Morrison, South Carolina (2-1-0, 1.67 GAA, .944 save pct.).

Also Nominated: Frans Tuohimaa (Bakersfield), Pat Nagle (Fort Wayne), Olivier Roy (Idaho), Joel Martin (Kalamazoo), John Griggs (Missouri), Maxime Clermont (Orlando), Martin Ouellette (Reading), Jeff Lerg (Toledo) and Etienne Marcoux (Utah).
