Trivino Named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades and the ECHL announced Tuesday that Corey Trivino has been named the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for November 10-16.
Trivino scored four goals, added two assists and was a +6 to help lead the Everblades to a 3-0 record last week improving to 9-2-1 on the season.
The 24-year-old scored the game-winning goal, added an assist and was a +4 in a 4-1 win at South Carolina on Friday; tallied a pair of goals in a 5-4 victory at South"ËCarolina on"ËSaturday and had another two-point game (1g-1a) in a 6-3 win at Gwinnett on"ËSunday.
Trivino posted 43 points (11g, 32a) in 46 games played with the Stockton Thunder last season. In addition, the 6-1, 193-pound center logged four assists in 11 appearances with the American Hockey League's Portland Pirates. Trivino began his professional career with the Everblades during the 2012-13 season registering 51 points (18g, 33a) in 63 games. He also tallied 11 points (3g, 8a) in 13 playoff appearances in the spring of 2013.
The Toronto, Ontario native registered 73 points (31g, 42a) during his four-year career at Boston University. Trivino was selected by New York Islanders in the second round (#36 overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
On behalf of Corey Trivino, a case of pucks will be donated to a Florida youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood"ËHockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 31,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
The Everblades will return home this Friday and Saturday to battle the Gwinnett Gladiators at Germain Arena. Friday's game is set for 7:30 p.m. while Saturday's game begins at 7:00 p.m
