Wichita 11, Kansas City 6

The Wichita Wingnuts exploded for an eight-run sixth inning to top the Kansas City T-Bones 11-6. Wichita RF David Peralta had a team-high four RBI with two homeruns, his second and third of the season. He was 2-for-5 on the night. 1B C.J. Ziegler also had an impressive game at the place with three RBI on a 2-for-five night. For the T-Bones, both DH Ray Sadler and 1B Kala Kaaihue had homeruns. Kaaihue's homerun was a two-run shot in the bottom of the inning that came with no outs but those were the only two runs the T-Bones could muster and fell five runs short of the comeback. P Josh Lowey picked up the win for six innings pitched, giving up five hits and four runs. He struck out four batters.

Sioux City 3, Lincoln 0

The Sioux City Explorers blanked the Lincoln Saltdogs and held the home team Lincoln to just four hits as they won 3-0. P Max Whieldon earned the win for his 5.2 inning start in which he allowed three hits and struck out three batters. The Explorers struck first in the second inning when 3B Wally Backman singled home C Ray Serrano. Sioux City doubled that lead in the third after CF Brandon Newton scored on a wild pitch. The Explorers tacked on another in the seventh to take the final 3-0 advantage. Newton, Backman and SS Ryan Priddy each had two hits for Sioux City in the contest. P Chris Bodishbaugh picked up the save working a scoreless ninth inning.

Grand Prairie 9, El Paso 7

Two Grand Prairie AirHogs had three RBI as they outlasted the El Paso Diablos 9-7. CF Keanon Simon and 1B Andres Rodrigues each had three RBI on three-for-five nights at the play and Rodriguez belted out his fifth homerun of the season. The AirHogs took the lead for good in the eighth inning when they hung four runs on the Diablos to take back the lead. It was a triple from Simon that started the scoring in the eighth, a three-RBI hit, and Brian Myrow singled him home two batters later. P Griffin Bailey earned the win for his one inning of relief in the seventh.

Laredo 8. Amarillo 2

Laredo DH Javier Brito was instrumental in the Lemurs 8-2 win over the Amarillo Sox as he was 3-for-4 with three runs including his first homerun of the season. Laredo jumped out to an early lead in to fourth inning as John Allen notched an RBI single and Ernie Banks Jr. scored Allen on a put-out two batter later. The Lemurs added two more in the sixth but salted the game away after a four-spot in the eighth. Amarillo's only runs came from SS Jason White when he singled home a pair in the top of the seventh inning. P Matt Way earned the win for 6.0 innings of two-hit shutout ball while P Jack Spradlin was tagged with the loss.
