Winnipeg 7, Fargo-Moorhead 2

Winnipeg starting pitcher Andrew Walker tossed a complete game as the Goldeyes defeated Fargo-Moorhead 7-2. Walker allowed just two runs on eight hits while striking out four hitters. Winnipeg scored a run in the second inning and scored two runs in the top of the third to take an early 3-0 lead. Goldeyes DH Jon Weber hit a solo home run in the fourth inning to make it 4-1 Winnipeg. Goldeyes RF Brian Joynt had two doubles in the game, scored two runs and had an RBI. The Goldeyes scored three more runs in the ninth inning to put the game out of reach. With the win, Walker improves his record to 6-3 this season. Goldeyes C Luis Alen went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double in the game. For the RedHawks, CF Nic Jackson had two RBIs in the loss.

St. Paul 8, Gary SouthShore 7

Despite trailing 5-0 after the first inning, the St. Paul Saints survived and rallied with three runs in the eighth to edge the Gary SouthShore RailCats 8-7. Gary SouthShore tallied five runs in their first at-bat, including an RBI double hit by 2B Brad Boyer and LF Toddric Johnson's RBI single. The Saints scored three in the bottom of the second on RF Brandon Tripp's two-run home run and CF Jonathan Van Every's solo homer to make it 5-3 RailCats. Trailing 7-5, the Saints rallied for three runs in the bottom of the eighth to claim an 8-7 lead. Tripp singled in a run, and pinch hitter Alex Garabedian blasted a two-run homer to give St. Paul the lead. Saints reliever Robert Manuel worked a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save. St. Paul reliever Caleb Thielbar was credited with the win after tossing a scoreless 2.1 innings. Tripp and Van Every led St. Paul with three RBIs each. For Gary SouthShore, Johnson went 3-for-5 with a homer and two RBIs in the loss.
