Harrisburg Senators News Release


The Harrisburg Senators rallied to tie the game at 2 in the seventh, but Altoona plated two runs with two-outs in the eighth to top the Sens 4-2 Friday night. Harrisburg took a 1-0 lead in the first but Altoona scored single runs in the second and fourth to tie and then take the lead.

On Capitol Hill

Tim Cate tossed six strong innings, allowing two runs on five hits. He faced 22 batters, striking out six and walking one. Bryan Dobzanski pitched a scoreless seventh inning as he stranded two runners. Jhon Romero took the loss allowing two runs on three hits. Gabe Klobosits pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

With the Gavel

Aldrem Corredor had a rbi double in the first and a single in the sixth. Cole Freeman singled leading off the bottom of the first and scored the Sens first run. Ian Sagdal had two hits including a single driving in the tying run in the seventh inning.

Filibusters

The 3.423 that attended the game Friday was the largest crowd thus far this year for the Senators. The Senators are 4-6 on the current 12-game homestand with two games to play against Altoona. It's the longest homestand for the Senators in at least 15 seasons.

On Deck

The Senators play game five of a six-game series against Altoona Curve Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 5:40 p.m.
