Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans completed the weekend sweep on Sunday, defeating the Rapid City Rush by a 3-1 score at Allen Event Center. Allen defeated Missouri, Wichita and Rapid City for a perfect 3-0-0 weekend, and moved into first place in the ECHL Central Division

Friday, November 14th @ Missouri, 3-1 Win
Independence, Missouri - The Allen Americans played the Missouri Mavericks for the first time this season and won the battle against former Assistant Coach Richard Matvichuk by a 3-1 score at Independence Events Center. Riley Gill was outstanding in net, stopping 28 of 29 shots to earn the victory.
Saturday, November 15th @ Wichita, 3-2 Win
Wichita, Kansas - The Americans held a 3-0 lead until late in the third period, when Wichita scored twice with the extra attacker to make it a 3-2 game. However, Allen would hold on for the victory and improved to 2-0-0-0 against Wichita on the season, with both wins coming at INTRUST Bank Arena.
Sunday, November 16th vs. Rapid City, 3-1 Win
Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans scored goals 38 seconds apart in the opening period from Trevor Ludwig and Brian McMillin to grab a 2-0 lead, one that they would never give up. Allen and Rapid City each scored in the second period and that would be the last scoring of the night as the Americans held on for a 3-1 victory over the Rush to improve to 2-1-0-0 against Rapid City this season.

Matchup -This will be the first meeting between the two clubs since the Americans defeated the Beast 4-1 in last year's opening round of the post-season. The two clubs will play a total of six times this season, with four of the six games at Allen Event Center.

1) Riley Gill played in all three games this weekend for Allen allowing just four goals total going 3-0
2) Jamie Schaafsma picked up his 200th career assist on Friday night against Missouri.
3) Gary Steffes needs one more assist for his 100th of his pro career. (99)
4) Jack Combs has a nine game point streak to lead the team.
5) Austin Smith scored his first goal as a member of the Allen Americans on Sunday and became the first Dallas native to score a goal in Americans franchise history.
6) Jack Combs leads the team in goals with 6, and points with 15.
7) The Allen Americans have a three game winning streak, their longest of the season.
