LAST WEEK'S RECAP

Overall Picture: The Greenville Road Warriors (8-5-0-0), proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, won two of three games last week and have moved into a tie for second place in the East Division with the Elmira Jackals (16 points). The Florida Everblades lead the division with 19 points.

On Thursday, Michael St. Croix earned three assists and Josh Nicholls scored the game-winner with less than six minutes remaining en route to a 3-2 victory over the Gwinnett Gladiators at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Just 24 hours later, the Road Warriors scored three times in the third period and notched another come-from-behind victory on the Sandlapper Securities Rink topping Gwinnett,4-2. Nicholls (2a), Chad Nehring (1g, 1a) and Bretton Cameron (2a) each recorded multi-point efforts, while Jeff Malcolm made 24 saves to earn his third consecutive win and sixth victory this season.

On Sunday afternoon, South Carolina's Adam Morrison stopped all 25 shots he faced as the Stingrays defeated Greenville 2-0 in North Charleston.

QUICK SHIFTS

Malcolm in the Middle: 25-year old netminder Jeff Malcolm is 6-3-0 in his first nine starts this season and has climbed to fifth in the league with a 2.10 goals against average (GAA). In addition, Malcolm is currently undefeated at home (4-0-0) with a 1.47 GAA, .945 save percentage and one shutout. Malcolm has also won six of his last eight starts with a 1.74 GAA and .940 save percentage. He has only allowed more than two goals on two occasions this season.

Keeping Perfect: The Road Warriors are a perfect 5-0-0 when scoring first, 7-0-0 when scoring at least three goals and 6-0-0 when scoring at least once on the power play. The club is also 4-0-0 in one-goal games this season.

Lending a Helping Hand: New York Rangers' prospect Michael St. Croix has earned points in seven of his last 10 games (2g, 9a) and currently leads the Warriors in points (12) and assists (10) this season. In addition, the 21-year old is just two helpers from the league-lead, which is held by Toledo's Anthony Luciani with 12. Last Friday, St. Croix recorded his first-ever three-assist game in a 3-2 victory over Gwinnett at home. He finished third on Greenville's squad last season with 31 assists.

True "Road" Warriors: The Warriors opened a season-long, eight-game road trip yesterday that continues through the remainder of the month of November. In fact, Greenville will play 15 of its first 20 games away from home ice, where the team is 4-4-0-0 so far this season. Last year, the Road Warriors went 17-15-4 on the road. The next home game is scheduled for December 4th against Orlando.
