INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, defeated the Wheeling Nailers by a final score of 3-2 on Saturday at the Fairgrounds Coliseum in front of a crowd of 5,349. Leading Fuel scorer Robert Czarnik scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner, as the Fuel victory bumped Indy's record to 3-5-2-1 overall this season. With nine points, the Fuel climbed into a tie for sixth place in the ECHL's North Division standings.

Next up for the Fuel, it's the first-ever meeting between the Fuel and the Orlando Solar Bears with the opening faceoff set for 7:05 pm on Wednesday at the Fairgrounds Coliseum on "Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana Night." Fans are encouraged to help the Fuel support the Food and Fund Drive by bringing a non-perishable food donation to the game. The first 1,000 fans through the gates with a canned food donation will receive a complimentary Fuel blanket.
