Colorado Eagles News Release

LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the NHL's Winnipeg Jets & the AHL's St. John's IceCaps, announced today that Akim Aliu, who spent time on the Eagles' roster earlier this season, made his NHL debut last night with the NHL's Calgary Flames. In doing so, he became the second Eagles player all-time to advance to hockey's highest level, following goalie Tyler Weiman (with the Colorado Avalanche) in 2007. Aliu registered an assist and two penalty minutes last night.
