
Carrozzi Reassigned to Reign Playoff Roster

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, 2011-12 Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, announced the return of goaltender Chris Carrozzi from the AHL's St. John's IceCaps.
Carrozzi, 22, was 1-1-0 in two games with the IceCaps, recording a 3.50 goals against average and a 0.877 save percentage in his second AHL appearance this season.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Nepean, Ontario native will return to the Reign lineup in time for the end of the first round of playoffs for his first-ever postseason appearance.
In Ontario, Carrozzi recorded a 2.14 goals against average and a career-high 0.922 save percentage, and a 17-6-2-2 record. He earned the ECHL's Goaltender of the Month honors in January of this year not losing a single game in regulation. His unbeaten streak extended from December 28, 2011 through February 4, 2012 with nine wins and two shooutout losses.
Carrozzi's most recent Reign victory came on March 24, with 4-3 win over the Western Conference Champion Alaska Aces to extend his unbeaten streak to five games with a record of 4-0-1-0.
Carrozzi was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the sixth round (#154 overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

The Ontario Reign return home to Citizens Business Bank Arena tonight, April 6 at 7 p.m.to play the third game of the best-of-five series against the Idaho Steelheads. The fourth game of the series will be played on Saturday, April 7 at 6 p.m. and, if necessary, the decision-making game of the series is Monday, April 9 at 7 p.m.
