STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announced rookie defenseman Ryan Lowery has been reassigned to the Thunder from the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.

Lowery, 22, is expected to be available to suit up for the Thunder tonight at 6:05 p.m. (1360 AM KFIV/StocktonThunder.com) in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinal at Colorado. The Thunder lead the best of five series, 2-0 over Colorado.

He has collected seven points (1g-6a) and two penalty minutes in 22 games with the Thunder this season.

The 5-foot-11 and 189 pound blueliner was signed to an AHL contract with Oklahoma City on Sept. 23, 2011 and has notched seven points (1g-6a) and 16 penalty minutes in 28 games with the Barons. He skated with the Oilers in the 2011 YoungStars Tournament in Penticton, B.C. and scored a goal in two games.

The Thunder acquired Lowery's ECHL contract rights from the Greenville Road Warriors on Jan. 24 in exchange for right wing Bretton Cameron.
