Akron Aeros Announce Annual Scholarship Award Winners

AKRON, OH - The Akron Aeros have awarded scholarships to eight student-athletes, courtesy of the Akron Aeros Charities in Education Fund. The group will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony prior to tomorrow night's game.

Each year, the Akron Aeros award four George Sisler Memorial Scholarships, as well as four Thurman Munson Memorial Scholarships. The scholarships awarded are $1,000 each.

The 2011 scholarship award recipients are as follows:
