El Paso Diablos News Release

El Paso, TX- After a dominate win Friday night the Diablos get stomped at Cohen Stadium, despite late game runs. The Grand Prairie AirHogs made up for their 8-2 loss, with a 12-4 dismantling of the Diablos to tie the series at 1-1.

The AirHogs hit first and hit hard, with a three run home run in the first, and three more runs in the next two innings to take a commanding 6-1 lead. The Lone run of the first seven innings came from a Maikol Gonzalez ground rule RBI.

The Diablos offense picked up in the last two innings of the game, striking for three runs to cut the AirHogs lead to 8, thanks to RBIs from, second baseman Jose Garcia, designated hitter Roberto Ramirez, and catcher Thomas McAlpine. Despite the Diablos 13 hits, they couldn't put together enough consecutive hits to keep the game close for a comeback win, as the AirHogs eventually won the game 12-4

The Diablos now fall to 6-15 this season, with one more game against the Grand Prairie AirHogs in their three game series. The Diablos play tomorrow night, 6:05 at Cohen Stadium.
